GoViens

Privacy policy

Updated on October 14, 2026

1. Controller and scope

GoViens Corp., corporation number 1408673-2, 44 Palace St. Thorold ON L2V 0J7, Canada, provides the GoViens website and application. This policy describes common processing. Information and rights specific to the registration country and applicable mandatory law supplement this text and take precedence in case of differences. This page does not replace a specific versioned document linked to an acceptance.

2. Data involved

Depending on services used, GoViens processes account and contact details, names, email, telephone, country, language and photo; identity and verification information, including date of birth, documents and verification photo; driver and vehicle information; trips, bookings, locations and geographic coordinates entered or authorised; favourites, alerts and preferences; messages, reviews, reports and support requests.

Financial operations may include amounts, currencies, references, receipts, wallet history, tokenised payment methods and bank-withdrawal details. Technical data includes information necessary for sessions, security and notifications, including device identifiers and push tokens. Submitted content may contain third-party data; limit it to what is necessary.

3. Purposes and justification

Data is used to create and protect accounts, check eligibility, offer and book trips, confirm boarding, process payments and refunds, handle withdrawals, communicate service information, manage groups, prevent abuse and resolve disputes. It also supports privacy requests, traceability and legal and accounting obligations.

Depending on jurisdiction and processing, justification is performance of the requested service, a legal obligation, security and legitimate interests of the platform and participants, or consent where required. Device location or notification permission can be withdrawn in device settings; this may limit the relevant functions.

4. Location and notifications

Location is used to search, locate and organise trips when you supply an address or authorise position access. This text does not announce continuous background tracking. Trip and boarding information is shared with relevant participants for the service. Notifications use available channels and your preferences. Device settings control notification permissions.

5. Recipients and providers

Participants receive information needed for ridesharing. Authorised GoViens personnel access information required for their duties, including verification, support, finance and security. Data may be disclosed to authorities where required by law and providers necessary for the service.

The infrastructure uses Supabase for authentication, data and storage; Stripe for card payments; and Firebase Cloud Messaging for native notifications. Mapping or communication services actually enabled may process data needed for the function used. The full list of enabled providers, contracting entities and processing locations must be confirmed before this policy is published.

6. International transfers and security

The international platform and its providers may involve processing outside the user’s country. Required obligations and safeguards depend on the country and transfer. Exact processing locations and contractual safeguards must be confirmed before publication; this policy does not guarantee exclusive data residency in any country.

GoViens limits access by function, protects private documents and uses measures to secure sessions and operations. No system is risk-free. Protect your account and report suspicious access.

7. Retention and account deletion

Retention depends on purpose, local obligations and evidence needs. Permanent deletion provides for erasing profile data, documents, payment methods and push subscriptions, and anonymising records that must be retained. Certain accounting documents, dispute evidence and security records may remain under applicable obligations. A dispute or ongoing financial operation may require prior handling. Legally applicable retention periods by category and country must be validated before publication; no universal period is promised here.

8. Rights and requests

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction or objection, and withdraw consent where processing depends on it. Rights may be subject to legal exceptions and reasonable identity verification. Use account privacy and support tools or contact GoViens by telephone or WhatsApp at +1 249-209-9000, available 24/7. Complaints to the competent authority remain available.

9. Local storage and cookies

The website and application use mechanisms necessary for sessions and language choices, as well as local preferences and drafts. Clearing local browser or device data may sign you out or erase preferences. Any actually enabled nonessential measurement tools and their consent arrangements must be inventoried and validated before publication. This text does not assume an optional tool is enabled.

10. Updates and validation points

This policy may change. Before publication, GoViens must confirm the complete enabled-provider register, transfers and safeguards, applicable retention periods and mandatory local disclosures. Legal review is needed to complete these points. Country-specific applicable information remains paramount.
